Thorbridge Jaipur

Unbeknown to Thornbridge , NCB undercover agent Harry Goudling was on a
mission. What is the secret of Jaipur? How do they pack so much hop favour
into a pint and why are all their brewers from down under. They would never
suspect the mild mannered retired surveyor, but he had been specially chosen
from the crack team of NCB agents. Mission impossible? Not on your mash
     tun!!!

The Midlands CB had organised a mid-week tour of Thornbridge Brewery and had a few of their members dropped out at the last minute.
At short notice four of the Northern boys stepped in to fill their places.
It was an excellent day out and tiring as well, as some of us set out at 7.30 to get to Bakewell in time for the tour at 14.00. Samples of Kipling and Wild Swan were available for tasting on the day.
The brewery was the usual push a button to brew mass of stainless but with an add on gadget they called a HOPNICK !!! We couldn't figure out what the difference was to a Hop back but there must be something. Happily
Though they still use the old traditional plant at the hall for experimentation and barrel ageing.
